Ingredients:

• Whole green gram – 250 gms
• Bread slices – 6 or breadcrumbs – 1 cup
• Green chillies, chopped – 3
• Garlic paste – 1 tbsp
• Ginger paste – 1 tbsp
• Coriander leaves, chopped – 1/2 cup
• Large onion, chopped – 1
• Cumin powder – 2 tsp
• Garam Masala powder – 1 tsp
• Red Chilli powder – 1 tsp
• Salt to taste
• Oil for deep frying

Method:

  1. Soak green moong for 4 hours.
  2. Pressure cook with just enough water till soft.
  3. Drain excess water.
  4. Mix all ingredients with the cooked gram, except the oil and bread slices.
  5. Keep for 30 mins.
  6. Dip bread slices in water, squeeze and add to the kebab mixture.
  7. Alternatively, mix in the bread crumbs.
  8. Mix well and make 10 sausage or round shaped kebabs out of it.
  9. Refrigerate for 20 mins.
  10. Deep fry in hot oil till golden brown.
