
Ingredients:
• 1 kg – Chicken
• 1 – large Onion
• Salt to taste
• 2tbsp – Ghee
• 5 – dry Red Chillies
• 3 tbsp – coriander powder
• 1 tbsp – Fenugreek seeds
• 1 tbsp – Poppy Seeds
• 1 tsp – Garam Masala
• 3 – Cloves
• 3 – Cardamoms
• 4 – sticks of Cinnamon
• 1 tbsp – Sugar
• 1/2 cup – water
• 2 – eggs
• 1 tbsp – Turmeric powder
• For marinade:
• 6 tbsp – Garlic paste
• 1.5 tbsp – Lime juice
• 1 tbsp – Ginger paste
Method:
- Marinate the chicken with the ground marinade paste for 30 mins.
- Heat ghee in a pressure cooker.
- Add chopped onion, dry red chilli, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves. Fry until light brown.
- Add marinated chicken pieces. Fry for 3 mins.
- Mix turmeric powder, coriander powder, sugar, poppy seeds and fenugreek seeds and garam masala with 1/2 cup water. Add it to the chicken.
- Fry for 3 mins until water evaporates.
- Add sufficient water and pressure cook.
- When done, keep on low flame and thicken the gravy.
- Add salt and sugar to taste.
- Serve hot garnished with boiled egg slices.
