
Ingredients:
• 900 g – fish fillets
• 3/4th cup – yellow cornmeal (polenta)
• 1/4 tsp – cayenne pepper
• 1/4 tsp – Oregano
• 1/2 cup – oil
• For Batter:
• 1/2 cup – plain flour (maida)
• 1/2 cup – Milk
• 1/2 tsp – Red Chilli powder or paprika
• 1/2 tsp – salt
• 1/2 tbsp – Sugar
• 1 Egg
Method:
- In a pan, combine together all ingredients except cornmeal, fish and oil.
- Spread cornmeal on a waxed paper.
- Dip the fish in batter, then coat both sides with cornmeal.
- Fry the fish (in batches) in hot oil over medium heat until golden brown and cooked through.
