Ingredients:
• 1.5 kg – Mutton chops
• 3 to 4 Onions (finely chopped)
• 3 to 4 kashmiri chillies
• 3 tsp – coriander-cumin seed powder
• 2 tbsp – ginger-garlic paste
• 1.5 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 5 to 6 tbsp – Mustard oil
• 4 big Tomatoes (finely chopped)
• 3 Bay Leaves
• 1 cup – water
• finely chopped Coriander leaves (to garnish)
• salt to taste
Method:
- Clean and wash the mutton chops.
- Lightly heat mustard oil in a pressure cooker.
- Add onions and saute on a low flame.
- Before they turn golden add bay leaves, Kashmiri chillies and ginger-garlic paste.
- Saute till the onions turn golden.
- Add the mutton chops, salt and saute on a low flame for 10 mins.
- Add turmeric powder and mix well.
- Add tomatoes and cook on a low flame for few minutes till the tomatoes are tender.
- Add a cup of water and mix well.
- Pressure cook till 3 whistles.
- Cool completely and open the cooker.
- Add coriander-cumin seed powder and mix well.
- Simmer for five minutes.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with rice or rotis.
