
Ingredients:
• Tur Dal – 1 cup
• Carrots – 1/2 cup (Sliced )
• Beans – 1/2 cup (Sliced )
• Cauliflower – 1/2 cup (chopped)
• Tomato – 2 (Medium-sized, chopped)
• Coriander leaves – A small bunch chopped
• Green chilli – 1 (chopped)
• Turmeric powder – A little
• Salt to taste
• Ghee or Oil – 3 tbsp
• Jeera – 2 tsp
• Dhania powder – 1.5 tsp
• Red Chilli powder – As required
• Curry leaves – A small bunch (chopped)
• Asafoetida powder – A little
Method:
- Wash the dal and the vegetables.
- Add the required amount of water and pressure cook all the ingredients from 1 to 9 and let it cool.
- In a pan, heat oil or ghee. Add jeera. Once it’s cooked, add the asafoetida powder, dhania powder, turmeric powder, salt, red chilli powder, and finally add the curry leaves.
- Add the cooked dal/veggies to this pan and cook it until you get a boil and remove from fire.
- Garnish this with fresh coriander and curry leaves.
- Serve hot with rice or roti and pickles.
