Ingredients:
• 2 to 2 3/4 cups – Mixed grains (Kabuli Channa, Whole Green Gram, Dry Green Peas, Lentils and Rajma beans) soaked for about 10 hours in water
• 3 Onions, chopped into small pieces
• 4 Tomatoes, ripe and red, chopped into small pieces
• 15 tbsps – Oil
• 1 tbsp – Butter
• 1/2 tbsp – Jeera
• Required amount – Salt
• Required amount – Sugar
• To Grind:
• 1 cup – finely grated fresh Coconut
• 6 Cashews
• 1tbsp – Khuskus
• 1 tbsp – Dhania
• 5 Dry Red Chillies
• 3 Green chillies
• 1 tbsp- Dhania
• 1 tbsp- Garam Masala
Method:
- Cook soaked mixed grains in cooker till it steams well. Don’t use weight. Use less water.
- Season jeera in butter and oil (mixed) in a pan. Add onions. Fry till golden.
- Add tomatoes. Add cooked grains, ground masala, salt and sugar. Fry till oil separates from this pulp.
- Add required amount of water as per desired thickness of gravy.
- Serve this kurma with hot puris or chappathis.
