
Ingredients:
• 4 – slices of large bread (remove the crust)
• For stuffing:-
• 1 – medium Potato boiled, peeled and mashed thoroughly
• 1/2 tsp – chilli powder
• 1/4 tsp – black pepper powder
• 1tsp – chat masala
• 1 – green chilli, finely chopped
• 2 tbsp – fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped
• Salt – to taste
• For batter:-
• 1/2 cup – besan
• 1/2 tsp – ajwain
• Salt – to taste
• 1/4 tsp – chilli powder
• Water – 1/2 cup approximately
• Oil – 2 tbsp
Method:
- Mix besan, ajwain, salt, chilli powder and mix water in small quantities at a time to make a smooth batter.
- Once it is smooth, add water to make it little thin. Keep it aside.
- Mix all the ingredients of stuffing.
- Put 1 quantity of this mixture on 1 slice, spread it thoroughly and press another slice on top of it.
- Repeat it with other two slices.
- Heat the oil in kadai. Dip the bread in batter and fry it, turning twice.
- Take it out on a paper towel to remove access oil.
- With a sharp knife cut it diagonally to make four pieces of each.
- Serve hot with green chutney or tomato ketchup.
