Ingredients:
• 1 – shevto (mullet)
• 1 – fresh Coconut
• For grinding:
• 6 – dry Red Chillies
• 1 – Turmeric
• 1 tsp – Cumin seeds
• For mincing:
• 3 – Onions
• 4 – Green chillies
• 6 flakes – Garlic
• 2 – Tomatoes
• 1 inch – Ginger
• A few sprigs – Coriander leaves
• 2 tbsp – Vinegar
• 2 tbsp – Ghee
• Salt to taste
Method:
- Wash the fish, cut and keep aside.
- Mix all the ingredients and grind into a fine paste.
- Mix all the other ingredients to mince.
- Grind the coconut and extract the thick and thin juice.
- Warm some ghee in a pot, add sliced onion and fry.
- Add the ground masala and fry, add the minced masala and cook.
- Add the thin juice of the coconut, vinegar and salt to taste, and cook till the onions are soft.
- Add the fish and cook for about ten minutes.
- Add the thick coconut juice and boil for five minutes.
