Ingredients:

• 2 cups – Wheat flour
• 1 tsp – ajwain
• Red Chilli powder (or green pepper) – 1 tsp
• Salt – to taste
• Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
• 2 tsp – oil

Method:

  1. Mix all ingredients and make a stiff dough.
  2. Make balls (luva) and roll them (little thicker than chapatti) in about 6″ diameter.
  3. On a hot griddle, bake the bhakhri on one side without oil and then turn to bake the other side.
  4. Turn the first side over again and add about half tsp of oil around the bhakhri which should go under the bhakhri.
  5. Then, press lightly with the spatula and turn the other side over and press lightly.
  6. Bake all bhakhris one by one until light brown.
