Ingredients:

• 500 g – Chicken
• 50 to 100 g – Jaggery [gurd]
• 2 tsp – dhaniya powder
• 2 – Onions paste
• 2 – Tomato puree
• 2 tbsp – Ginger Garlic paste
• 1 tsp – chilli powder
• 1 – Lemon
• salt to taste

Method:

  1. In a pan, heat some oil. Add onion paste.
  2. When water is absorbed, add ginger garlic paste, chilli powder, dhaniya powder, turmeric powder, garam masala.
  3. Simmer for 3 to 4 mins, then add tomato puree and jaggery.
  4. Once jaggery is melted, add chicken pieces and salt to taste.
  5. Cover the lid, cook till the chicken pieces are nice and soft. Squeeze lemon over it once cooked.
  6. Stir and serve hot with rice or chapatti.
