Ingredients:

• 2 cups – raw banana, cut into small cubes
• 2 tbsp – gooseberry, chopped
• 1/2 cup – onion, chopped
• 2 tsp – green chillies, chopped
• 2 tbsp – Yoghurt
• 2 tbsp – vegetable oil
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1 tsp – coriander powder
• To taste – salt
• A handful – Curry leaves

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pan or kadhai and add mustard seeds.
  2. Add chopped onion and green chillies.
  3. Add all spices, salt, raw banana and gooseberry, and cook for 10 minutes.
  4. Add yoghurt and cook for another 10 minutes.
  5. Optionally, you may add tomatoes.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with curry leaves.
  7. Serve with dosa, idli, chapati or rice and dal.
