Ingredients:
• 1 cup – whole Wheat Rawa
• 1/2 cup – green gram (moong) dal, washed and drained
• 4 tsp – oil
• 1 tsp – cumin seeds, crushed
• 1/2 tsp – black pepper corns, crushed
• a pinch – Asafoetida (hing)
• 4 cups – water
• 1/2 tsp – salt
Method:
- Place the rawa and dal in a deep non-stick pan.
- Heat oil in a small seasoning ladle and add cumin, pepper and asafoetida.
- Fry for 15-20 seconds and add to the rawa.
- Add water and salt. Bring to a boil.
- Cover and leave on a low flame till the rawa and dal are cooked.
- Serve hot with mint or tomato chutney.
