Ingredients:

• 400 ml – Curd
• 200 ml – water
• 1/2 tsp – salt
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• For seasoning:
• 2 tsp – oil
• 3/4 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1/2 tsp – Jeera (cumin seeds)
• 1 – inch piece ginger, finely chopped
• 6- Garlic cloves, finely chopped and crushed
• 2 -green chillies, slit lengthwise
• 1- spring Curry leaves or 6

Method:

  1. Blend curd, water, salt and turmeric powder in a blender.
  2. Blend till smooth and keep aside.
  3. For seasoning:
  4. In a pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds.
  5. When it begins to crackle, add jeera, ginger, crushed garlic, green chillies and curry leaves.
  6. Stir fry on low to medium heat for 10 minutes or until the colour changes and is crisp.
  7. Pour the seasoning over moru curry / takka kadi and stir continuously for 2 – 3 minutes.
  8. Serve with rice.
