
Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup – Kollu (Horse Gram)
• 2 tbsp – Toor Dal
• 1/4 tsp – Oil
• 2 – Dry Red Chilli
• 1 tsp – Black pepper
• 2 – Pods (Optional) Garlic
• 1 pinch- Asafetida
• Sesame oil- 1 tsp
• Salt to taste.
Method:
- Heat oil in a pan and roast the horse gram. Add the kollu and toor dal to it and roast it.
- Keep aside.
- Now roast the red chillies, garlic, black pepper, asafoetida on a medium flame. Add salt and remove.
- Now combine the roasted kollu and spice mixture. Let it cool and then grind it in a mixer until fine.
- Cool the podi for 15 mins by spreading it on a plate.
- Now store it in a dry container.
- Mix with rice along with a few drops of sesame oil.
- Serve with rice/dosa/idli.
