Ingredients:

• 1 Cup- Rice
• 1 Cup- Toor Dal
• 1/2 Cup- Finely grated Coconut
• 4- Green chillies
• Salt to taste
• Oil

Method:

  1. Soak equal quantities of rice and tuvar dal in water for about 5 hours.
  2. Grind them to a paste, fine enough to make the dose batter.
  3. Grind the chillies and the coconut together and add this paste to the dose batter.
  4. Add salt to taste.
  5. Keep for 4 to 5 hours.
  6. Then make dose on a hot tawa greased with oil. Serve with coriander coconut chutney or any chutney or with saagu (a wet curry).
