Ingredients:

• 1/2 cup – rava
• 1/2 cup – Ghee
• 1 cup – Sugar
• 2 cups – water
• a small quantity- Cashew nuts
• a small quantity – Raisins
• 2 – elaichi/cardamom
• 1 pinch -orange colour
• 1 drop -essence

Method:

  1. Heat 1 tsp of ghee in a kadai/pan, fry rava for 5 minutes. Keep aside.
  2. Add 1 more tsp of ghee and fry cashew nuts and raisins.
  3. Powder elaichi with a little sugar either manually or in a mixie and keep aside.
  4. Now add 2 cups of water in the pan and let it boil, then add rava slowly and keep stirring to avoid lumps.
  5. Then add ghee so that the mixture will leave the sides of kadai.
  6. Now add sugar, colour and essence.
  7. Finally add cashew nuts, raisins and elaichi powder. Serve hot.
