Ingredients:
• Spring onions – 4 bunches
• Fresh Red Chillies or Green chillies – 8
• Tamarind – ping pong-sized ball
• Oil – 1 tsp
• Salt – a pinch
Method:
- Wash spring onions and cut into pieces.
- Heat oil in kadai, add spring onions, salt, tamarind, red chillies and stir. Cover with a lid.
- After spring onions have become soft, remove lid and fry for 5 mins.
- Let it cool and then grind it.
- The chutney goes well with hot rice.
