Ingredients:

• 1/2 kg – Beef cut into medium pieces
• 2 big Tomatoes pureed
• 3 Cloves
• 2 pieces of Cinnamon
• 2 Cardamoms
• 2 Bay Leaves
• 1 tsp Ginger paste
• 1 tsp Garlic paste
• 2 Onions chopped
• 1 tbsp chopped Mint leaves
• 2 tsp chilli powder
• Salt to taste
• 3 tbsp oil

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add the onions, cloves, cinnamon, cardamoms, bay leaves, ginger paste and garlic paste. Fry for a few minutes.
  2. Add the meat and the chilli powder and mix well.
  3. Keep frying on low heat for some more time.
  4. Now add the tomatoes, salt, mint leaves and potatoes, and mix well.
  5. Add sufficient water and cook till the meat is done and the gravy is thick.
  6. If cooking in a pressure cooker, turn off the heat after 6 whistles.
  7. Serve hot with rice.
