Ingredients:
• 1 cup – Red Rice flakes/ Sivappu Aval
• 1/4 cup – Button Mushrooms (chopped)
• 1 – Onion (big and chopped)
• 1/2 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1/2 tsp – Urad Dal
• 1 tsp – Channa dal
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 2 – Dry Red Chillies
• 2 – Green chillies (chopped)
• A few – Curry leaves
• Salt
• Oil
Method:
- Soak the red rice flakes in water for a few seconds and drain the water completely. Keep aside.
- Heat enough oil. Splutter mustard seeds, urad dal, channa dal, dry red chillies and curry leaves.
- Immediately add the chopped onions, chopped green chilies and cook until the onions turns translucent.
- Now, add the chopped mushroom.
- Saute them for a few seconds.
- Finally, add the turmeric powder and salt.
- Add the already washed red rice flakes.
- Cook everything on a medium flame for a few minutes and turn off the stove.
- Serve warm with some spicy coconut chutney.
