Ingredients:
• Mochai/Field Beans-1 cup
• Turmeric Powder-1/4 tsp
• Red Chilli Powder-1/4 tsp
• Garam Masala Powder-1/2 tsp
• Grated Coconut-1/4 cup
• Green Chilli-2
• Cumin-1/2 tsp
• Mustard-1/4 tsp
• Oil-2 tsp
• Salt to taste
• Coriander leaves-a few
Method:
- Soak mochai/field beans over night. In the morning, pressure cook it for 3 whistles.
- Transfer the cooked mochai to a pan. Add some water and then add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and garam masala.
- In a blender add cumin, grated coconut and green chillies. Grind to a smooth paste.
- Add this to the cooked mochai. Add salt and cook till raw smell goes away.
- Temper with mustard and oil and garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot with rotis and rice.
