Ingredients:
• karelas, sliced thinly (smeared with salt and Haldi overnite) – 2 to 3 nos
• sesame powder – 2 tsp
• Red Chilli powder – 1.5 tsp
• Jeera – 1 tsp
• fresh dahnia chopped – 2 tsp
• oil to fry
• salt to taste
Method:
- Take a pan, add a tbsp of oil and put in the karela slices. After draining off the water from it making it quite dry. Fry it till it turns golden brown and crispy.
- Keep it aside.
- In another pan take a tsp of oil, add jeera, as it crackles add in the fried pieces.
- Sprinkle sesame powder, red chilli powder and salt.
- Toss it finely over the flame for 3 to 4 minutes.
- Garnish it with chopped dhania.
- Serve with sambar, rasam or curd rice.
