Ingredients:

• karelas, sliced thinly (smeared with salt and Haldi overnite) – 2 to 3 nos
• sesame powder – 2 tsp
• Red Chilli powder – 1.5 tsp
• Jeera – 1 tsp
• fresh dahnia chopped – 2 tsp
• oil to fry
• salt to taste

Method:

  1. Take a pan, add a tbsp of oil and put in the karela slices. After draining off the water from it making it quite dry. Fry it till it turns golden brown and crispy.
  2. Keep it aside.
  3. In another pan take a tsp of oil, add jeera, as it crackles add in the fried pieces.
  4. Sprinkle sesame powder, red chilli powder and salt.
  5. Toss it finely over the flame for 3 to 4 minutes.
  6. Garnish it with chopped dhania.
  7. Serve with sambar, rasam or curd rice.
