
Ingredients:
• Toor Dal – 1 cup
• Coconut – 1/2 cup
• Dhaniya – 1 tsp
• pepper – 1 tsp
• Jeera – 1 tsp
• Red Chillies – 3
• Toor Dal – 1 tsp
• Urad Dal – 1 tsp
• Oil – 3 tbsp
• salt – to taste
• Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
• Curry leaves
• Onions, finely chopped – 2
• Tomato, finely cut – 1
Method:
- Cook tuvar dal in pressure cooker with turmeric powder and keep aside.
- In a kadai, put 1 tsp oil and fry dhania, pepper, jeera, red chillies, tuvar dal and urad dal till done.
- Add 1/2 cup coconut and grind the fried ingredients (with water) till smooth.
- Again, in a kadai, heat two tbsp of oil. Add mustard and jeera. When it splutters, add cut onions, tomato and curry leaves. Let it fry till golden brown.
- Add 1/2 cup of water, the ground paste and salt. Let it boil for few seconds.
- Add the boiled toor dal and mix well.
- Garnish with fresh green coriander leaves.
