
Ingredients:
• 1 – raw banana/vazhakai
• Turmeric powder a pinch
• 1/2 tsp – chilli powder
• Salt to taste
• 1tbsp – oil
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• To grind:
• 2 tbsp – Coconut
• 1/2 inch piece – Ginger
• 4 to 5 pieces – Garlic
• 2 to 3 tsp – pepper
Method:
- First cut the raw banana lengthwise like finger chips.
- Half boil it in water.
- Then marinate it with salt, chilli and turmeric powder and allow it to sit for 15 mins.
- Grind the ingredients under grinding ‘to grind’ to a fine paste with minimum water.
- Add oil, then mustard seeds and let it splutter.
- Now add the raw banana and saute for 3 mins .
- Next add the ground paste, and a little more salt if needed.
- Fry well till all is combined well.
- Sprinkle a little water and leave it closed for 2 mins to cook thoroughly.
- Open lid and saute until roasted well.
- Take off heat and serve with curd rice.
