
Ingredients:
• 7 Pomfrets
• 7 glasses water
• 7 medium-sized Potatoes
• 5 to 6 tsp – Red Chilli powder (or as per taste)
• 5 tsp – coriander powder
• 5 medium-sized Onions (very finely chopped)
• 4 tbsp – Coriander leaves (finely chopped)
• 10 finely chopped Green chillies (or as per taste)
• 2 tbsp – ginger-garlic paste
• 10 Cloves – Garlic
• 6 eggs (beaten)
• 150 to 200g – bread crumbs
• oil for shallow frying
• salt to taste
Method:
- Clean and wash the fish. Boil the fish in approximately 7 glasses of water with cloves of garlic till tender.
- Remove the skin and bones and mash well.
- Boil the potatoes and mash while still hot.
- In a bowl, mix together mashed fish, mashed potatoes, red chilli powder, coriander powder, ginger-garlic paste, finely chopped green chillies, onions, coriander leaves, and salt.
- Let this mixture marinate for 2 to 3 hours.
- Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape each portion in form of a cutlet.
- Dip each cutlet in beaten egg and roll in bread crumbs.
- Shallow-fry on a medium flame till golden on both sides.
- Serve with French fries or potato chips and tomato ketchup.
