Ingredients:

• 1 kg – meat, cubed
• 850 g – Tomatoes
• 1 tsp – red chill powder
• 1 tsp – cumin powder
• 50 g – Ghee
• 2 large onions, sliced
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 2 potatoes, skinned, washed and cubed
• 2 tsp – Sugar
• 2 tbsp – chopped Parsley
• 2 tsp – chopped Thyme

Method:

  1. In a bowl, mix lamb, chilli powder and cumin powder, cover and refrigerate for several hours.
  2. Heat ghee in a non-stick pan, saute onion until soft, add turmeric and stir.
  3. Add the tomatoes.
  4. Add the meat, potatoes, sugar, parsley and thyme, simmer covered until meat is just tender and until the sauce is slightly thick.
