Ingredients:
• 2 cups – Rice flour
• 1/2 cup – Roasted Urad Dal flour
• 1cup – rolled oats (roasted and grounded)
• 1 tsp – Butter
• 1/2 tsp – Asafoetida powder
• 2 – Dry Red Chillies
• 1/2 tsp – Fennel seeds
• 1 tsp – Peppercorns
• 2 – Garlic Cloves
• 1 tbsp – Sesame seeds
• 1 tsp – Cumin seeds
• Salt
• Oil
Method:
- Grind the dry red chillies, fennel seeds, peppercorns and garlic cloves as fine powder.
- Take this grounded powder along with rice flour, roasted and grounded oats flour, urad dal flour, butter, asafoetida powder, salt, sesame seeds and cumin seeds in a large vessel.
- Knead a soft dough with enough water.
- Heat oil for Deep Frying. Take a golf ball-sized dough and flatten it.
- Drop this flattened thattais in to the oil.
- Fry until the both sides turns golden brown.
- Repeat the same process until the dough gets finished.
- Conserve these thattais in an air-tight box and enjoy!
