Ingredients:
• 3 cups Rice
• 1/2 – Onion
• 1 cup – Tamarind juice
• 3 tsp – grated Coconut
• 1 tsp – Turmeric
• 3 to 4 – red dry chilly
• 4 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 4 to 5 – spring Curry leaves
• 2 tsp – groundnut
• 2 tsp – Channa dal
• 1 tsp – Urad Dal
• 1 flake – Garlic
• salt to taste
• Jaggery – to taste
Method:
- Cook rice and keep aside.
- Take a kadai, heat oil. Add mustard and pop it. Add curry leaves, onion, groundnut, channa dal, urad dal, garlic, red chilli and fry them to light brown.
- Add the tamarind juice, turmeric, jaggery and chilli powder (according to taste). Add salt to taste.
- Cook for 10-15 mins until it thickens (semi-liquid) and then let it cool.
- Take the cooked rice and spread it on a plate. Let it cool for about 5 mins.
- Then add the goju (the paste). Mix well along with the grated coconut.
