
Ingredients:
• 2 cups – yam, cooked and well mashed
• 4 – stale bread slices, soaked in water and squeezed well
• 2 tbsp – Rice flour
• 1 tbsp – Corn flour
• 2 – onions, chopped
• 2 – green chillies, chopped
• 1/2 tsp – ginger, crushed
• Few – Curry leaves
• 1 tsp – Fennel seeds
• 3 – Garlic Cloves
• Salt – to taste
• Oil – for deep frying
Method:
- Grind the fennel seeds and garlic cloves into a fine paste.
- Mix the mashed yam, soaked bread slices, corn flour, rice flour, crushed ginger, chopped onions, chopped green chillies and curry leaves into a thick dough.
- Heat enough oil for deep frying.
- Make small balls from the mixture and drop gently into the hot oil.
- Fry until they turn golden brown.
- Enjoy hot as side dish or as a snack.
