Ingredients:

• 1 cup – Channa dal
• 15 – Jackfruit seeds
• 1/4 cup – moong dal
• 1 – Onion
• 2 – Green chillies
• 1 tsp – Fennel seed
• 1 tsp – Ginger chopped
• 2 – Garlic pods
• 5 – Curry leaves
• Salt
• 2 tsp – Coriander leaves
• Oil for Deep Frying

Method:

  1. Soak both channa dal and moong dal separately for 2 hours
  2. Meanwhile chop onions finely and green chillies
  3. Cook the jackfruit seeds in hot water, drain and grind the seeds coarsely.
  4. Grind channa dal, soaked moong dal and grind along with fennel seed and salt. Sprinkle water
  5. Add the chopped onions, green chillies, ginger and mashed garlic pods, curry leaves as well as coriander leaves to the vada batter
  6. Mix everything well.
  7. Heat oil in a deep pan, take a small ball from the vada batter and flatten them into vadas and Deep Fried till they turn brownish and crispy
