Ingredients:
• 2.5 cups – tender ridge gourd.
• 1 cup – chopped Onions
• 50 ml – whole Milk
• 2 tbsp – roasted white Sesame seed powder
• 4 – Green chillies
• 1 – sprig Curry leaves
• 1/2 tsp – mustard
• 1/2 tsp – cumin
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric
• Salt to taste
• 2 tbsp – oil
Method:
- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard, cumin, curry leaves and green chillies, allow them to splutter, add onions and fry till they turn pink
- Add the ridge gourd pieces, turmeric and salt, saute for a minute
- Cook with the lid closed till the ridge gourd is done.
- When done add sesame seed powder and saute well for 2 mins
- Pour the milk and gently mix the curry and switch off the flame. Do not cook for more than 1 min after adding the milk.
