Ingredients:

• 2.5 cups – tender ridge gourd.
• 1 cup – chopped Onions
• 50 ml – whole Milk
• 2 tbsp – roasted white Sesame seed powder
• 4 – Green chillies
• 1 – sprig Curry leaves
• 1/2 tsp – mustard
• 1/2 tsp – cumin
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric
• Salt to taste
• 2 tbsp – oil

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard, cumin, curry leaves and green chillies, allow them to splutter, add onions and fry till they turn pink
  2. Add the ridge gourd pieces, turmeric and salt, saute for a minute
  3. Cook with the lid closed till the ridge gourd is done.
  4. When done add sesame seed powder and saute well for 2 mins
  5. Pour the milk and gently mix the curry and switch off the flame. Do not cook for more than 1 min after adding the milk.
