
Ingredients:
• 500 g – whole Wheat flour
• 500 g – minced Mutton
• 1 cup – grated coconut, ground to a paste
• 1/2 cup – onion, finely sliced
• 1 tsp – chilli powder
• 1 tsp – coriander powder
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – Garam Masala powder
• 2 tbsp – Ghee or oil
• 2 tbsp – Ginger Garlic paste
• 1 tbsp – Ghee
• Coriander leaves to garnish
• Lime juice to taste
• salt to taste
Method:
- Mix wheat flour with 1/2 the coconut paste, salt and 1 tbsp of ghee.
- Add enough water and bind into firm dough.
- Shape the dough into oblong masoor, like mini sausages.
- Combine all the powders with remaining coconut paste.
- Heat the ghee or oil and fry onions till golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and fry till fragrant.
- Add the coconut paste and fry well.
- Add the minced mutton and fry till brown. Add salt and 4 cups of water.
- When the mixture begins to boil, add the Muthias.
- Cover and simmer gently till the mutton and Muthias are cooked (about 40 minutes).
- Serve hot, garnished with coriander leaves.
