Ingredients:

• 1 tin – green young Jackfruit
• 1/4 cup – fresh Coconut
• 1 tbsp – chilli powder
• 1 tsp – Coriander seeds
• 1/2 tsp – Urad Dal
• Salt to taste
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seeds

Method:

  1. Open tin and squeeze out all water from jackfruit.
  2. Smash the jackfruit with hands.
  3. Fry urad dal and coriander seeds in 1 tsp full of oil.
  4. Grind coconut and chilli powder coarsely.
  5. Add fried dal, coriander seeds and grind for 1 minute.
  6. Mix this mixture to the jackfruit.
  7. In a kadai add 1 tbsp oil, add mustard seeds.
  8. When it splutters add the jackfruit mixture.
  9. Fry on low flame for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  10. Add salt.
  11. Serve with chapatti or rice.
