Ingredients:

• ?cup – tuar dal
• 3 big Onions
• 4 to 5 tbsp – Ghee
• 14 to 15 flakes Garlic
• ?tsp – Turmeric powder
• salt to taste

Method:

  1. Wash and soak the tuar dal for an hour.
  2. Finely slice the onions.
  3. Coarsely grind the garlic.
  4. Keep the dal to boil.
  5. Remove the frost that comes to the surface.
  6. After a boil add salt to taste and turmeric powder.
  7. Cook on a low flame till the dal is soft. Churn the dal.
  8. Heat ghee in a small kadhai, and fry the onions on a low flame till golden.
  9. Add half of the fried onions to the dal and mix well.
  10. In a ladle, heat a tbsp of ghee and saute the garlic on a low flame for about 3-4 minutes.
  11. Add the rest of the fried onions and saute for a couple of seconds.
  12. Add this to the dal and mix well.
  13. Boil the dal for 5 minutes and serve hot.
