
Ingredients:
• ?cup – tuar dal
• 3 big Onions
• 4 to 5 tbsp – Ghee
• 14 to 15 flakes Garlic
• ?tsp – Turmeric powder
• salt to taste
Method:
- Wash and soak the tuar dal for an hour.
- Finely slice the onions.
- Coarsely grind the garlic.
- Keep the dal to boil.
- Remove the frost that comes to the surface.
- After a boil add salt to taste and turmeric powder.
- Cook on a low flame till the dal is soft. Churn the dal.
- Heat ghee in a small kadhai, and fry the onions on a low flame till golden.
- Add half of the fried onions to the dal and mix well.
- In a ladle, heat a tbsp of ghee and saute the garlic on a low flame for about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the rest of the fried onions and saute for a couple of seconds.
- Add this to the dal and mix well.
- Boil the dal for 5 minutes and serve hot.
