Ingredients:
• 250 g – cooked tapioca ( kappa / cheeni ) pieces
• 1 tbsp – oil
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1/2 tsp – Jeera (cumin seeds)
• 1/2 tsp – Urad Dal
• 2 green chillies, slit lengthwise
• 1 spring- Curry leaves
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder (optional)
• Salt
• 1/4 cup – (or 3 tbsp) – grated Coconut
Method:
- Heat oil in a wide pan and add mustard seeds.
- When they begin to pop add cumin seeds ( jeera ), urad dal, slit green chillies and curry leaves and saute for 2 – 3 minutes or until fragrant.
- Add turmeric powder (Optional) and fry on a low heat for another 1 – 2 minutes.
- Add cooked tapioca pieces and adjust salt to taste.
- Mix all the ingredients well.
- Cover with a lid and cook on a low heat for 5 – 8 minutes stirring occasionally.
- Sprinkle grated coconut.
- Serve hot as a snack.
