Ingredients:
• Grated Coconut – 1 cup
• Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
• Ginger – 1 tbsp, thinly sliced
• Green chillies – 3, chopped
• Onion – 1/2 cup, chopped
• Curd – 1 cup
• Salt to taste
• For Seasoning:
• Oil – 1 tbsp
• Mustard Seeds – 1/2 tsp
• Onion – 1/2 cup, finely chopped
• Green chilli – 1, finely chopped
• Curry leaves – a few sprigs.
Method:
- Grind coconut with mustard seeds to a smooth paste.
- Mix green chillies with onion and ginger and add 1/2 cup of water and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Beat the curd till smooth. Add coconut paste, boiled ingredients and salt.
- Heat oil and splutter mustard, add onion and green chillies.
- Fry till onion is light brown and add curry leaves. Add the seasoning to the pachadi.
- Serve.
