Ingredients:

• Grated Coconut – 1 cup
• Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
• Ginger – 1 tbsp, thinly sliced
• Green chillies – 3, chopped
• Onion – 1/2 cup, chopped
• Curd – 1 cup
• Salt to taste
• For Seasoning:
• Oil – 1 tbsp
• Mustard Seeds – 1/2 tsp
• Onion – 1/2 cup, finely chopped
• Green chilli – 1, finely chopped
• Curry leaves – a few sprigs.

Method:

  1. Grind coconut with mustard seeds to a smooth paste.
  2. Mix green chillies with onion and ginger and add 1/2 cup of water and simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Beat the curd till smooth. Add coconut paste, boiled ingredients and salt.
  4. Heat oil and splutter mustard, add onion and green chillies.
  5. Fry till onion is light brown and add curry leaves. Add the seasoning to the pachadi.
  6. Serve.
