Ingredients:

• 1 cup – roasted Channa dal
• 8 – long chillies
• 2 cup – grated Coconut
• Salt to taste
• Mustard Seeds
• A few -curry leaves
• 2 – whole red chillies, crushed

Method:

  1. In a small kadai, heat oil and put the roasted channa dal (daalia) and keep stirring for about 4-5 mins
  2. Remove it from the heat, and add chillies and coconut.
  3. Grind well in a mixie
  4. Heat oil in a kadai and splutter the mustard seeds, curry leaves and crushed chillies and add it to the chutney.
  5. Add salt to taste.
  6. Serve it with idlis, dosa or medu vada.
