
Ingredients:
• 1 cup – masoor dal
• 1 – onion, chopped fine
• 2 – tomato, chopped fine
• 1 tsp – Ginger Garlic paste
• 3 – 4 – green chillies, chopped fine
• 1 tbsp – oil or Ghee
• 1 tsp – rai
• 1 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 1 tsp – Turmeric powder
• coriander leaves, chopped for garnishing
• salt
Method:
- Soak masoor dal for half hour.
- Take oil or ghee in a cooker, add rai and cumin seeds and splutter.
- Add turmeric powder and fry onions till it turns pink.
- Add ginger garlic paste and chillies and fry till it turns brown.
- Add tomatoes and fry till it becomes mashed.
- Add the dal and close the cooker and cook for one whistle.
- Open and garnish with coriander leaves and have with chapatti as a side dish.
