Ingredients:

• Whole Wheat flour – 1/2 cup.
• Flour (maida) – 1/2 cup.
• Besan (chick peas flour) – 1/2 cup.
• Boiled, mashed Potatoes – 1/3 cup.
• Poppy Seeds – 2 tsp.
• Hot oil – 3 tbsp.
• Garam Masala powder – 1/2 tsp.
• Salt – 1 tsp.
• Water – to mix.

Method:

  1. Combine all the ingredients except water.
  2. Add just enough water to make a firm dough.
  3. Keep covered for 15 mins.
  4. Divide into 20 balls and roll out to about 3 mm thick poories.
  5. Deep fry in moderately hot oil till golden brown on both sides.
  6. Serve hot with chutney, raitha or sauce.
