Ingredients:

• 1 – bottle guard or Drumstick
• 1/2 cup – well beaten Curd
• 1/2 cup – grated Coconut
• 1 tsp – Coriander seeds
• 1 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 10 to 12 – Red Chillies
• 1 tbsp – Jaggery
• Lemon ball sized Tamarind
• 1 sprig – Curry leaves
• Oil and salt to taste

Method:

  1. Soak the tamarind and extract the pulp.
  2. Boil the vegetables till it becomes a thick pulp and add turmeric as required.
  3. Take a little oil and fry coriander, cumin, curry leaves and red chillies. Grind it along with the coconut.
  4. Mix with the pulp of vegetables and add a spoon of jaggery.
  5. Add the well beaten curd and let the entire content boil.
  6. Season with curry leaves, mustard and methi seeds.
  7. Use coconut oil to get the authentic taste.
  8. Add salt as required.
  9. Serve with rice.
