Ingredients:
• 250 gms – Potatoes
• 300 gms – Tomatoes
• 100 gms – Paneer
• 50 gms- Maida
• 100 gms – Onion
• 50 gms – Cashewnuts
• 10 gms – Cumin seeds
• 25 gms – Khowa
• 10 gms – Poppy Seeds
• 1/2 tsp – Sugar
• 100 ml – Oil
• 1 tsp – Garam Masala powder
• 1 tsp – Cream
• 1 bunch – Coriander
• Salt to taste
Method:
- Boil and mash the potatoes, add salt and make a soft dough.
- For Filling:
- Grate paneer and khowa and to that add coriander, cashewnuts and cream and keep it aside.
- Make round balls of the dough.
- Flatten them on the palm and form kofta shapes.
- Roll in maida and fry.
- For Gravy:
- Grind tomatoes and green chillies into a fine paste.
- Roast all the spices on a tawa and grind them into a powder.
- Heat oil in a kadai, add onion paste, tomato, green chilli paste and fry till it turns slightly golden brown.
- Add water and simmer, stirring continuously.
- Then add the koftas and just stir it once.
- Garnish it with cream, ginger juliennes and fresh coriander leaves.
- Serve it hot with butter naan or tandoori roti.
