Ingredients:

• 2 tins – Tomato puree
• 2 – Cloves
• 1 – Bay Leaf
• 1 tsp – Sugar
• 1/4 tbsp – cumin powder and chilli powder
• Small piece – Cinnamon
• 1 tbsp – Butter
• Salt and pepper – to taste

Method:

  1. Heat 1 tbsp butter in a pan, add the bay leaf, garlic, 2 cloves and fry for a few seconds.
  2. Add tomato puree, stir. Bring to a boil.
  3. Add 1/4 tsp red chilli powder, 1/4 tsp cumin powder, salt and 2 tsp sugar.
  4. Simmer for 5-7 mins.
