Ingredients:

• Red amaranth – 2 bunches
• Toor Dal -1 cup
• Red Chillies -3 to 4
• Jeera- 1/2 tsp
• Coconut – 3/4 cups
• Urad Dal – 1/2 tsp
• Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Finely cut the amaranths.
  2. Pressure cook the toor dal and set aside.
  3. Now grind the coconut, red chilli, jeera, urad dal into fine paste.
  4. Cook the greens in kadai with little water.
  5. When done add the cooked tuvar dal and mix it.
  6. Add salt and boil for a while on low flame.
  7. Now garnish with coriander seeds, urad dal and curry leaves.
  8. Finally add little coconut oil.
