Ingredients:

• Besan (Gram Flour) – 2 cups
• Rice Flour – 1/2 cup
• Ajwain seeds – 1 tsp
• Jeera – 1 tsp
• Bread Slices – 5
• Salt
• Red Chilli powder – 2 tsp (or according to taste)
• Baking soda – pinch
• Oil to fry

Method:

  1. Toast the bread slices for a minute, just to make them a little crisp. Cut them diagonally to make 2 triangular pieces ( totally 10 pieces out of 5 slices). Keep them aside
  2. Mix all other ingredients together with some water to make batter. Batter should not be too thin or too thick.
  3. Heat oil. Butter each bread slice, dip it in batter and slide it into the oil. Fry till golden brown.
  4. Serve hot with sauce or chutney.
