
Ingredients:
• 3 – Tomatoes (raw)
• 1 cup – red gram
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• A small quantity -curry leaves
• 1 tbsp – black gram dal
• 1 pinch -asafoetida
• 3 – Red Chillies
• 2 tbsp – grated/shredded Coconut
• salt
• oil
Method:
- Wash and cook the dal and keep it aside.
- Cut tomatoes into small pieces.
- Heat oil in a pan/kadai, fry Bengal gram dal, asafoetida, red chillies and coconut grating and grind them to a paste.
- Add tomatoes and heat oil in a pan/kadai, splutter mustard seeds, black gram dal, curry leaves, asafoetida and little salt.
- Fry for 5 minutes.
- Now add cooked dal and the paste and mix them well.
- It can be served with any rice item.
