
Ingredients:
• 8 – large Prawns
• 1 – onion, large
• 2 – 3 – Green chillies
• 3 cm piece – Ginger
• 1 tsp – Garam Masala
• 1/2 tsp – pepper powder
• Egg and breadcrumbs to coat
• oil to deep fry
• salt to taste
Method:
- Clean the prawns and slit them along the back, keeping them attached at the other side (like butterfly prawns).
- Grind onion, ginger, green chillies together to a paste (do not add water).
- Mix in garam masala and pepper powder. Add salt.
- Fill the prawns with this paste. Smear remaining paste (if any) on the outside.
- Roll the prawns in breadcrumbs to make the paste stick.
- Dip in beaten egg and roll in breadcrumbs again.
- Deep-fry in hot oil till golden. Serve hot.
