
Ingredients:
• 1 cup – grated Coconut (fresh or dry)
• 5 – Red Chillies
• 10 Cloves – Garlic
• 1/2 tbsp – Jeera
• 5 tbsp – Toor Dal
• 2 – fresh Tomatoes
• 1/2 tbsp – Tamarind paste
• 5 tbsp – cooking oil
• salt
Method:
- Heat oil in a small pan.
- Roast garlic, jeera, red chillies, toor dal one at a time.
- Cut tomatoes into small pieces and cook for 2 minutes in the above pan after roasting all the ingredients.
- Mix coconut, roasted stuff, tomatoes, tamarind and salt in a blender with small amount of water so that chutney can be a fine thick blend.
- Enjoy with yogurt rice, chapati, dosa and idli.
