Ingredients:

• 500 g – raw Jackfruit
• 2 – small Onions
• 1 inch piece – Ginger
• 3 flakes – Garlic
• 1/2 tsp – each of Turmeric powder, ground Cumin seeds and Sugar
• 1/2 cup – sour curds
• a few sprigs Coriander leaves
• salt and chilli powder to taste

Method:

  1. Peel and slice jackfruit.
  2. Grind onions, ginger and garlic to a paste.
  3. Put 1 cup water in curd and beat till smooth.
  4. Heat 3 tbsps oil and fry onion paste to a golden colour.
  5. Put in jackfruit and all the spices and salt and fry for 5 minutes.
  6. Put in the curd, sugar and salt and cook over medium fire till done.
  7. Serve decorated with coriander leaves.
