Ingredients:
• 500 g – raw Jackfruit
• 2 – small Onions
• 1 inch piece – Ginger
• 3 flakes – Garlic
• 1/2 tsp – each of Turmeric powder, ground Cumin seeds and Sugar
• 1/2 cup – sour curds
• a few sprigs Coriander leaves
• salt and chilli powder to taste
Method:
- Peel and slice jackfruit.
- Grind onions, ginger and garlic to a paste.
- Put 1 cup water in curd and beat till smooth.
- Heat 3 tbsps oil and fry onion paste to a golden colour.
- Put in jackfruit and all the spices and salt and fry for 5 minutes.
- Put in the curd, sugar and salt and cook over medium fire till done.
- Serve decorated with coriander leaves.
