Ingredients:

• Soak overnight:
• 1/4 cup- Matki
• 1/4 cup- Chavli
• 1/4 cup- Whole Moong
• 1/4 cup- Kabuli Channa
• 1/4 cup- Green Channa
• 1/4 cup- Black Channa
• Grind to paste:
• 1/4 cup- Coconut
• 7-8 Green chillies
• 1/2 bunch- Coriander
• 1 tsp- Jeera
• 1/2 tsp- Pepper
• 1 inch- Ginger
• 4-5 Cloves Garlic
• Tamarind- about the size of half Lemon
• For Tadka
• 1 tsp- Rai
• 1 tsp- Jeera
• 8 – 10 Curry Patta
• 2 Onion, finely cut

Method:

  1. Pressure cook the soaked items till they are cooked (a little firm).
  2. Heat oil in a kadai and add the tadka ingredients. Fry the onions, add the ground masala paste.
  3. Transfer this to the pressure cooked dals and let it cook with the masala for about 20 minutes.
  4. Can be served with rice, bread, chapattis etc.
