Ingredients:
• 2 cups – Rice
• 2 tbsps – oil
• 1 tbsp – sesame seeds
• 1 tbsp – Urad Dal
• 1 tbsp – Cumin seeds
• 5 – Red Chillies
• Turmeric powder – 1 pinch
• 4-5 – Curry leaves
• Salt to taste
• Jaggery -1 tbsp
• 5 cups – boiled water
Method:
- Fry rice till it is warm. Powder to a sooji or rava consistency.
- Heat oil in a heavy-bottom vessel. Put in all the ingredients, one by one, and add powdered rice and fry for 2 mins.
- Add boiling water to the rice and cover for 5-7 mins.
- Take the mix, make into small balls. Make a hole at the centre and steam in the idli mould.
