Ingredients:
• Beetroot – 1
• Sugar – 1/2 cup
• Ghee – 2 tbsp
• Cardamom powder – 1 tsp
• Nutmeg powder – 1 tsp
• For the garnishing:
• Pista (chopped) – as needed
Method:
- Peel the beetroot and grate it.
- Now, in a kadai, pour the ghee and add the grated beetroot.
- Stir fry till the beetroot gets soft and cooked and it absorbs the ghee well.
- Then, add the sugar and keep stirring till the sugar dissolves.
- Add the cardamom powder and nutmeg powder.
- Then switch off the gas and place the beetroot halwa on a serving dish.
- Garnish with chopped pista and cashew roasted in ghee and serve delicious beetroot halwa.
