Ingredients:

• Beetroot – 1
• Sugar – 1/2 cup
• Ghee – 2 tbsp
• Cardamom powder – 1 tsp
• Nutmeg powder – 1 tsp
• For the garnishing:
• Pista (chopped) – as needed

Method:

  1. Peel the beetroot and grate it.
  2. Now, in a kadai, pour the ghee and add the grated beetroot.
  3. Stir fry till the beetroot gets soft and cooked and it absorbs the ghee well.
  4. Then, add the sugar and keep stirring till the sugar dissolves.
  5. Add the cardamom powder and nutmeg powder.
  6. Then switch off the gas and place the beetroot halwa on a serving dish.
  7. Garnish with chopped pista and cashew roasted in ghee and serve delicious beetroot halwa.
